Creative FAQ Part 01

Q: Hey! You used my _____ in a past episode and I _____!
A: We are terribly sorry if our use of anyone's work is not to their liking or against their wishes. We would never knowingly use work that an artist specifically tells us not to, though because of the creative commons 3.0 license all SCP Foundation based work falls under, asking is really just a courtesy and us going out of our way to be polite. To the best of our abilities we try to properly credit creators for any inspiring work and always reach out to artists about the use of their music.

Sometimes we can't find the original artist, sometimes they don't respond, sometimes wordings are vague. In the end, we are legally allowed to use anything SCP related, and if you retroactively decide you don't want us using something, the best we can offer is a strong "Sorry, we'll do our best to try not to use it again in the future."

Q: I have an amazing idea for a joke/segment/episode/character/etc!!!
A: Wonderful! Glad our project has your brain firing off ideas! We would love to hear them, though please understand that anything you send us may or may not be used and that you may or may not be the first to think of it. Feel free to email your ideas to us at the SCP93.FAMRadio [@] gmail.com, though anything you send us is considered submitted content that we can choose to use at our digression.

If we like you idea enough, we'll use it in a future episode! If it's really good and we use it as is, we'll most likely credit you! However, you will not likely get credit for rather shallow ideas and concepts. (examples being, "Interview 682!!" "Have SCP-XXXX breach during the episode!" or "Interview Dr. So-&-so!") With ideas like that you're really just spit balling and there's still a lot of work to do before the idea is executable. It's like bringing a picture of a pasta dish to a potluck.

Also, you may not be the first person to think of it. Maybe we've heard the idea already, maybe it was already done in a tale we saw, maybe we even had the idea already and just hadn't used it yet. We appreciate any and everything you share with us, but to be fair and preemptively cover our butts, we have to have it be said we do not mean to steal anyone's work or improperly credit them. We do our best to work with the community and keep the drama low. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email us anytime!

If you are a writer, voice actor, or otherwise creative creator, feel free to contact us ahead of time about the use of your work and we can discuss things in more detail! Email again is SCP93.FAMRadio [@] gmail.com and we hope to hear from you!
